This is when users are only granted the privileges necessary to perform assigned work tasks and no more. Limiting and controlling privileges based on this concept protects confidentiality and data integrity. If users can modify only those data files that their work tasks require them to modify, it protects other files' integrity in the environment.

This principle extends beyond just accessing data but also applies to system access.

Organisations sometimes violate this principle by adding all users to the local administrators group or granting root access to a computer. This gives users full control over the computer. However regular users rarely need this much access. When they have this much access , they can accidentally ( or not intentionally damage the system, such as accessing or deleting valuable data. Additionally if a user has full administrative privileges and inadvertently installs malware, the malware can assume full administrative privileges of the user's account. In contrast if that user only has regular user account privileges the malware can only assume this accounts limited privilege's.

Alongside this drive to have the latest product we have created, we have also developed a throwaway culture. This has formed a need to replace electronics as soon as a newer model has launched. Throughout this blog, we will explore the benefits of maintaining and repairing your electronic devices and why this is a much better and much more sustainable option than to keep buying new.

The most well understood positive to maintaining your current devices is that it is much more cost-effective than buying new ones. Residential property Cat5e cable expansion.

Visited a residential flat that required an extra cable laying and going through the wall to an existing socket. As the current wall sockets had an extra socket, this job just required the ports adding into the current sockets and kroning in and then the cable testing. A small job but made the customer very happy so that they could now move their existing AV equipment to the other side of the room.

R & L Framing Comms Cabinet install and cabling.

R & L framing in Truro gave us the opportunity of cabling out with cat6a ethernet cable and connecting a wall mount comms cabinet and also providing a krone patch panel, cat 6a passthrough patch panel and a 24 port switch along with cable management. A 30m run across the trunking into another office where 4 x cat 6a were also terminated and plugging into the router, along with that 2 x telephone lines were extended from the master socket to the two desks in the shop. This may of only of been a small job but it was done on time constraints and over a weekend as the shop was opening. A good job well done.

This laptop had its keyboard failing, which resulted in the whole palmrest being replaced as the keyboard is fixed to the palmrest.

Msi gaming laptop bottom cover and keyboard cover replacement.

A customer came in with a smashed hinge on an expensive gaming laptop. Have stripped this down ordered new top and bottom covers and the trackpad which was damaged.. Fiddly job removing some parts like the keyboard that is plastic rivet melted in. Once new parts arrived had to re-melt the keyboard back into the keyboard cover and then transfer everything else across and re-fix onto new hinges.

Had a customer requiring a new bottom casing replacing as the other one had been smashed so had to move everything across into the new bottom Case. Very time consuming. It was then rebuilt with a new ssd plus win 10 installing and ram upgraded to make it a lot faster.
